Paphiopedilum haynaldianum

General
The plant has 6-7 dull-green leaves, which can grow up to 30 cm long and are 4-5 cm wide.
The Inflorescence carries between 2 and 8 flowers, and can be upto 75 cm long.
The flowers are 10 and 16 cm wide.
Habitat Information
Range
These wonderful orchids are found on the Islands of Luzon and Negros in the Philippines.
Blooming Season
In nature it blooms during the dry season, which is from January to March. (Cribb,1987)

freezing.

Paph haynaldianum can be found growing on both trees and rocks in humus and leaf litter. Usually growing on granite, limestone, and serpentine rocks

In nature P. haynaldianum plants are found growing in light to moderate shade

In thieir natural enviroment it gets a lot of water during June and September, the monsoon season, accompanied by high winds.

Cultural Information
In cultivation, however, extra watering is not necessary. Supply plenty of airflow and high humidity (60-80%).
Light requirements
Like most strap-leaved Paphs, these enjoy bright,
indirect light. 2000-3000 fc. Paph haynaldianum can be
bloomed at lower light levels than most other multi-floral Paphs.
