Colour breeding or mutation breeding of any bird really
facinates me. In this section I will show some of the many
colour varieties of the Indian Ringneck (Psittacula krameri
manillensis).
On the photos I have given the new name
as well as the old or commonly known name of each colour.
The new naming came about due to the many names around the
world for the same colour. In the genetics section I will
explain some of the colours in detail.

I enjoy colour breeding, it gives
variety to parrot breeding, and is not difficult at all,
once you understand the basics of genetics.
